It’s safe to say that Robin Thicke isn’t really cut out for the single life. So, the “blue-eyed soul” stirrer has a unique plan for winning back his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton: Begging.
Patton’s said to have called time on the pair’s 22-year relationship last Friday…and was unmoved by her husband’s last ditch efforts to change her mind. Thicke’s grandiose gesture of cancelling tour dates and flying to Patton’s Vancouver shoot site didn’t do much to dissuade her decision to split. Months of embarrassment over Robin’s VMAs twerk-fest with Miley Cyrus and tabloid tales of infidelity are alleged reasons behind the breakup.
The “I Need Love” crooner took the stage at George Mason University’s Patriot Center on Thursday night and while things started out mellow enough, Thicke made it just halfway through the show before tearfully pleading his case for forgiveness.
Listen up, Paula. This one’s for you.
“For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I got separated a few days ago, and I want everybody here to know that I’m trying to get my girl back,” Thicke, 36, told fans before dedicating his 2006 hit “Lost Without U” to his jilted bride.
“I’m going to need you guys to help me through this,” Robin said as he turned away and dabbed at his eyes with a handkerchief.
Thicke certainly looked the part of a broken man, wearing his wedding ring throughout the entire show. Perhaps not coincidentially, Patton’s West Hollywood home was bombarded with numerous floral arrangements on Thursday afternoon.
Think Robin can win his woman back?
