While I think that Constantine was amazing, I think that the role of Drew should be played by the current Broadway actor that plays Drew, Joey Taranto. After seeing the musical with him in it I cannot picture anyone else in that role.

I agree with others, Constantine Maroulis IS Drew. I also agree about the chemistry comment. I loved Tom Cruse (in his day) but isn’t he a bit old to woo Taylor? I think you should give Constantine a call, along with some other cast members. Remember, making a movie means is will be seen forever! Don’t you want it to be great?

I think that a movie version would be awesome, but I also agree with Cat that with out members of the cast like Constantine Maroulis, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, and Michele Mais. Also I saw “Rock of Ages” back in April on Broadway and the chemistry in the cast was OUTSTANDING. I liked it better than “The Lion King”. Without certain cast members it would be hard to have such great chemistry. I would urge Mr. Shankman to use some of the original Broadway cast.

I don’t think “star” equals successful movie. Constantine is Drew. There’s no doubt about that. I’ve flown many miles, quite a few times to see Constantine in the role of Drew but I won’t pay $10 to see some “star” in the role of Drew. Constantine is Drew. Sorry Adam. Stars won’t work. There’s only one Drew and that’s Constantine.
