Robin Williams will undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement after being admitted to a south Florida hospital suffering from shortness of breath earlier this week.

The 57-year-old Oscar-winning comedian has cancelled all performances of his 80-city one-man show, Weapons of Self-Destruction, which was set to open on Broadway in the spring, his reps announced Thursday.

The tour is expected to resume in the Fall. Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the new dates are scheduled. Ticket holders are also entitled to refunds.

“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” Williams said in a statement. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
