Robert Pattinson is a terrible tipper.

The easy-on-the-eyes hunk has been criticized for leaving serving staff $50 on a $350 bill after enjoying a luxurious dinner with four friends at the posh Il Cantinori Restaurant in New York’s Greenwich Village last Tuesday, OK! Magazine reports.

As most of us know, here in the U.S., it is customary for diners to give staff at least an additional 15 pecent on top of the total bill.

But not Pattz.

Robert – who is in the Big Apple filming his latest movie Remember Me - and his friends arrived at the restaurant at 10PM and sipped Italian beer and Chianti red wine with their meal of Caprese salad and veal Milanese before leaving around midnight.

Despite the disappointing tip, Robert was described as “nice and friendly” by the restaurant’s wait staff.

wow.. the waitress complained about $2.50. Where im from you dont get a fifty dollar tip regardless the size of the order. Someone needs a reality check! I would tell her to be happy that she has fifty dollars more than she had an hour or so before hand! And i agree with sara… what if the waitress wasn’t very good?¿ But heaven forbid if she didn’t have her extra $2.50 for her Expresso from Starbucks… People blow things way out of proportion!!
