Twihards have been gutted to learn that neither Kristen Stewart nor Rob Pattinson will be attending upcoming fan conventions to celebrate the finale of their hugely-successful Twilight franchise.
The four conventions, scheduled in various U.S. cities between August and November will instead be hosted by supporting castmembers. It will undoubtedly be a lot harder for Rob and Kristen to pull out of their obligatory red carpet duties at the movie’s premiere.
The Twilight co-stars have been on the outs ever since Kristen was caught having an affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders last month. Kristen has been keeping a low profile, cancelling an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards and failing to appear at the London premiere of her latest film, On the Road.
“Kristen is grief-stricken and has hit rock-bottom. In many ways, Kristen living off cigs and Red Bull is a way of punishing herself…She’s been hiding out at the Los Angeles home of a producer friend and is looking pale and worn-out.”
Meanwhile, Robert has made TV appearances to promote his new film, Cosmopolis, but dodged questions about Kristen, becoming flustered when quizzed about his ex during an appearance on Good Morning America.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 opens in theaters Nov. 16.
