The competition for the heart of bloodsucking Brit Robert Pattinson just got a new contender.

We hear actress Kirsten Dunst wouldn’t mind sinking her teeth into Hollywood’s “It Guy” of the hour after meeting the 23-year-old Pattinson on the Manhattan set of his new movie Remember Me, Star Magazine claims.

“Kirsten is absolutely infatuated with him and thinks he would be the ideal boyfriend,” chuckles a friend of the Spider-Man actress.

She’s even hatched a last ditch effort to elbow her way into a part in Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight series.

Friends say Kirsten believes she and the Twilight star “would have a lot in common.” After all, like Pattz, Kirsten herself rose to fame in a bloodsucking big screen hit, appearing in 1994’s Interview With The Vampire.

“She’s been sending Rob a barrage of flirty texts, letting him know she is very interested in getting to know him better — whenever and wherever he wants.”
