Calm down, Twihards. Rumors that Twilight star Robert Pattinson was struck and injured by a taxicab in New York City this afternoon are completely false. (Although RadarOnline and several other media outlets tell a different story.)

Online rumors surfaced early Thursday allegeding that Pattinson was struck a cab while running away from a insane group of on the Manhattan set of his upcoming film Remember Me. Throngs of adoring female fans have been hanging around the set all week, vying for the chance to get close to Pattz.

Thankfully, a spokesperson for Summit Entertainment — the studio producing Remember Me – has stepped forward to deny the web reports. While apparently something went down on set today, Rob wasn’t hit by a cab and is doing just fine.

“Robert Pattinson is fine. The reports are exaggerated, and the accident was not caused by fans. Production continues,” the studio said in a statement.

According to RadarOnline.com, Rob was “clipped” by a taxi but escaped without injury.
