There’s not love lost between Robert Pattinson and Courtney Love: The Twilight hunk has blasted the Hole frontwoman — who he refers to as a “dick” — for slamming reports that he was cast as her late husband Kurt Cobain in a Nirvana biopic.

Last spring, rumors swept the web claiming that Pattinson was going to play the tragic “(Smells Like) Teen Spirit” legend in a proposed film about Cobain’s life. This prompted an outraged Courtney to respond via Twitter: “I might despair and hey I like R-Patz, he’s just not right for KC!” She later added: “Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offense.”

The Widow Cobain has been vocally about he hope that Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy land the Kurt role.
Nonetheless, Rob isn’t very pleased with Courtney’s assessment of his acting talents. Shocking, we know. But the normally mild-mannered vamp holds no bars as he fires back at the grunge goddess in a new interview with Britain’s Daily Mirror.

“I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed. And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the fuck! He’s totally wrong for it, and I’m like, ’I fucking said no, you dick!’”

And, for the record: “I didn’t get offered [the part],” he confirms. “For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him! It’s ridiculous.”
