Robert Downey Jr. “The Dark Knight” Diss: “I Didn’t Understand ‘The Dark Knight’”

At least one moviegoer walked away from the latest Batman sequel feeling disappointed. Actor Robert Downey Jr. says he’s no fan of The Dark Knight. The former bad boy slammed the superhero thriller as “highbrow” and requiring a “college education to understand” in a recent interview with MovieHole.
“I didn’t understand The Dark Knight. Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy,” RDJ replied when quizzed on his views about the Summer’s runaway blockbuster.
Adding, “It’s like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I’m like, ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie’.”
“You know what? Fuck DC Comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”
Robert’s own superhero smash, Iron Man, which opened in May, was the Highest-Grossing Film of 2008 until The Dark Knight premiered last month.
Jealous much?
