Rihanna will not press charges against her boyfriend Chris Brown and has refused to help police investigate claims that he beat her after rekindling her romance with the R&B singer last week.

The young lovers are reportedly together again just one month after Chris allegedly attacked Rihanna in a rage before the 2009 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. He is facing a felony count of making criminal threats. The accused batterer is said to have won the star back by showering her with gifts, like a diamond necklace and matching bracelet and an iPOD Touch for her 21st birthday last week.

They were spotted at hip-hop mogul Diddy’s mansion in Miami over the weekend.

“Rihanna says she doesn’t want to testify against him. She has had a change of heart and doesn’t want the case to proceed,” a LAPD leak has squealed to Britain’s The Sun.

Much to Ri-Ri’s chagrin, detectives may still have a case against the 19-year-old “Run It” hitmaker.

“If the DA decides they have enough evidence, they can proceed without Rihanna’s testimony.”
