Rihanna tapped into her inner “Angry Black Woman” (Every girl has one…) to give teen badass Taylor Momsen a thorough tongue-lashing.

In an interview last month, the Pretty Reckless star targeted Rihanna as she criticised pop stars impersonating rock stars, saying: “People think pop is rock and lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna’s wearing fucking leather jackets and it’s really annoying.”

Druh-mah ensued as soon as the “Rude Boy” singer heard Momsen’s comments, which prompted her to hit back with an irate phone call to the pop pip squeak.

‘When Rihanna read those comments, she flew into rage. Rihanna did not take kindly to a 17-year-old making such rude comments about her, especially since they flooded the internet as soon as they were released,” a well-placed insider told Britain’s Heat Magazine this week. “She got Taylor’s number through a friend and called her up, telling her to back off and act her age, Rihanna is not the kind of person you want to mess with.”

Burn! It appears Ri-Ri’s little pep talk did the trick. The Gossip Girl actress has since denied her rant as being an insult against Rihanna.

“That quote was spun. It’s a misquote. I was arguing the difference between rock versus pop and it’s a very pop-oriented world at the moment.”
