When someone has a scratched cornea they can not tolerate any form of light it would literally knock them out because the eye becomes extremely sensitive. That spotlight behind her in the photo on the right looks to be very bright, if her cornea were scratched she wouldn't have been able to smile for that photo so vibrantly. Just another rumor.
