Rihanna has pulled out three shows on the UK leg of her tour on doctor’s orders. She had been due to perform tonight at Birmingham’s NEC Arena.

But a statement on the venue’s website confirmed the gig had been postponed on “doctor’s instructions” to the 19-year-old.

The postponement of tonight’s show comes after the R&B star pulled out of a performance in Nottingham on Saturday night, just hours before she was due to go on stage.

“Rihanna appreciates the love and support of all her fans and wants nothing more than to see and connect with them,” the NEC statement said.

“We apologiae for any inconvenience caused.”
