Rick Ross’ lyrical tales of dope dealing and bullet-dodging manifested themselves into a nearly deadly encounter for the charttopping rapper early morning.

Rick crashed his Rolls Royce into a building on ritzy Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale after someone in another vehicle opened fire on the luxury whip. Neither Rick nor his girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-le – who was a passenger in the car — were hurt in the crash which occurred as the couple was leaving Ross’ 37th birthday at local hotspot LIV, according to local police.

Law enforcement officials are on the hunt for the assailants.

This incident comes just months after the “Aston Martin Music” star was forced to cancel several US concert dates after notorious street gang, the Gangster Disciples, threatened to crash two North Carolina shows in retaliation for Ross’ alleged use of the gang’s logo for his mixtape Black Bar Mitzvah.The gangbangers were also furious that he had compared himself to their imprisoned founder Larry Hoover.

Ross worked as a corrections officer in his hometown of Miami-Dade before hitting it big in the hip-hop business with his 2006 debut album, Port of Miami.
