Sad news this morning out of New York City, multiple sources are confirming that actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his West Village apartment.
Hoffman, age 46, has apparently died from an apparent drug overdose. Philip has struggled with addiction in the past, he had spent time in rehab facilities before. Some reports are indicating that Hoffman was found with a needle as well as other drug paraphernalia in his presence – but that information is yet to be confirmed.
Hoffman has had an amazing career including earning an Academy Award for Best Actor in the film Capote, in 2005. Most recently Philip starred in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Philip leaves behind three young children and his life partner, costume designer Mimi O’Donnell.
