It’s Official-NBC Is Canning Passions

“Today’s” move to the 10 o’clock hour has left cult soap opera “Passions” without a timeslot. The cast and crew were told the news today. The show will end production in the Spring with the final episodes airing this Summer.
NBC made the announcement Wednesday that Ann Curry and Al Roker will be hosting an extra hour of the “The Today Show” beginning in the Fall of 2007.
Damnit! Will Theresa end up with Ethan? Will Julian figure out that Little Ethan isn’t his son? How about Whitney and Chad-is he really on the down low? Why can’t they cancel Dr. Phil instead?

It started out as a really great show, they just let things get way to crazy with all the “magic” and occult stuff. Nobody can relate anymore. It’s just to weird. Sad to see it go, and that such great potential got ruined.

The real problem with the storylines is the fact that they are dragged on for entirely too long.
Take the Theresa/Ethan/Gwen love triangle, for example-they’ve dragged that one out for at least seven years. And it’s the same thing with Julian and Eve’s real son-that one’s been going on since Day One.
The only good thing about seeing it go is that we’ll finally get closure on the longest running storylines.
