Word on the Curb has it that former child star Mario Lopez and reality TV socialite Khloe Kardashian have been hired to co-host The X Factor when the live shows begin airing on Nov. 1.
Kardashian and Lopez — who already host nationally-syndicated newsmagazine Extra — are close to signing deals with the ratings-addled FOX talent show. An announcement on the appointments are expected later this week.
“Those two want to do it, and the show is keen to have them,” an informant told CNN Wednesday.
Kardashian and Lopez would replace former X Factor frontman Steve Jones. The Welsh presenter was axed from the series in January after producers said he failed to build a repertoire with the audience.
