It’s no secret: The television late-night landscape will get another facelift this December, when Chelsea Handler is expected to relinquish her title as E!’s lone Queen of Comedy. (Unless you count Joan Rivers…which we didn’t.)
With a lucrative deal with Netflix already a “done deal,” E! bosses are reportedly already courting Handler’s potential successor: Network reality star Khloe Kardashian.
We hear Khloe — otherwise known as the only Kardashian Chelsea actually likes — might be in the running to take Handler’s place when the comedienne leaves Chelsea Lately at the end of the year. Kardashian is a regular fill-in when Handler is ill…or on vacation…or recovering from a hangover. Who really knows?
Apparently, Khloe’s guest-hosting stints have been popular enough with viewers to command the attention of E! suits. Of course, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters is no novice in front of the camera. In addition to her “work,” on a litany of E! docu-soaps, Khloe served one (critically-panned) season as co-host of the Fox talent series The X Factor.
