“Girl on Fire” Alicia Keys kicked off Sunday’s Super Bowl with a unique version of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” accompanied by grand piano. The soulful arrangement, which has been hotly-debated all over the Innanets, has already made history as the longest Game Day performance of the National Anthem currently on record.
According to anthem expert David Barron, Keys’ version clocked in at 156.4 seconds, edging out the previous Super Bowl length record set by Natalie Cole’s 152-second performance in 1994.
