Redmond O’Neal Sentenced To Rehab For Latest Drug-Related Arrest
A Los Angeles judge has given Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal’s drug-addicted son one last chance to kick his dope habit.
On Friday, Redmond O’Neal pleaded no contest on two drug-related offenses, and Judge Scott Millington referred his case to a drug court that will sentence the heroin addict to a strict drug rehab program.
But he sternly warned the 24-year-old that he if leaves rehab — as he has at least three times in the past — he’ll be promptly sent to prison.
Redmond told Judge Millington that he has been motivated to get clean by his mother’s failing health. He told the judge that the cancer-stricken former Charlie’s Angels actress weighs roughly 86 pounds and that he is ashamed of himself for recent relapses as well as his April 5 arrest on suspicion of taking heroin to a Los Angeles area jail facility.
Redmond will be sentenced on April 30.
Do you agree with the judge’s decision? After all, the kid has had three chances to clean up his act. Maybe a trip to the pokey is just the dose of tough love he needs.
