Prince will not be hosting a Super Bowl celebration party of Miami’s INK Nightclub as originally scheduled. The artist formerly known as “The Artist” has cited the clubs red dragon decorations as offensive to his religion.
Prince is a Jehovah’s Witness. According to INK co-owner Laurent Bourgade, Prince “sent someone for a walk-through of the space…When they reported back the prints on the club, he changed his mind.”
The Jehovah’s Witness Book of Revelation depicts the Devil as ‘a great fiery-colored dragon.’ ”
The club is hoping to book Justin Timberlake as a last minute replacement.
