“Real World Boston” Star Sean Duffy Elected To Congress

An MTV reality star whose conservative rants from the confines of a Beantown firehouse dominated the airwaves more than a decade ago now answers to the title of Congressman.

Real World Boston star Sean Duffy now represents his home state of Wisconsin in the US House of Representatives after winning his bid for office in Tuesday’s mid-term election.

Duffy, a 39-year-old Republican, previously held the title of District Attorney for Wisconsin’s Ashland County. The former ESPN commentator raised more than $600,000 to support his campaign for the Republican seat representing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District.

“What a great night in Wisconsin,” the Congressman-elect bellowed, thanking supporters as he took the stage at a victory party in Wausau shortly before midnight The Wausau Daily Herald reports.

After his stint on The Real World wrapped up in 2007, Sean joined another hit MTV series: Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons, which aired in 2002.

Duffy is married to former Real World: San Francisco castmember Rachel Campos-Duffy. The ex-reality stars – who wed in 1999 — are the parents of six.
