The eighth season premiere of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars opened to record ratings last night.

DWTS, which got off to a shaky start after two contestants were forced to withdraw due to injury, enjoyed had its most-watched season premiere ever, drawing an audience of 22.5 million viewers on Monday night.
