Country singer Randy Travis has been arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and driving under the influence for the second time in six months.
Travis was picked up in his homestate of Texas on Tuesday on a suspected DWI charge after crashing his car. No other cars were involved in the accident.
The crooner as completely naked when cops arrived to the scene, but it’s still unclear why. Randy, who was treated with minor cuts and bruises, was also charged with “retaliation and obstruction” after allegedly threatening a police officer during the bust.
In February, Travis was arrested for public intoxication for allegedly drinking outside a Baptist church following a Super Bowl party. Travis, 52, was taken into custody after police responding to a complaint discovered him inebriated with an open bottle of wine. The christian country crooner was collared in Sanger, Texas — about an hour north of Dallas — in the wee hours of Feb. 6 after officers found the sloshed six-time Grammy Award winner sitting behind the wheel of his truck, parked just steps from the religious shrine.
Video footage of the arrest later went viral.
The former Touched by an Angel star, whose hits include “Forever and Ever Amen,” apologized in a statement to the Associated Press “for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl.”
