Smart move, dawg! Seemingly aware that his tenure as a judge on US television’s top-rated talent show can’t go on forever, American Idol pundit and America’s Best Dance Crew producer Randy Jackson is getting back to what he does best — music.

The ex-Journey bassist — who has worked with one-name songstresses like Celine, Whitney, and Mariah — recently teamed up with an old pal to launch his own dance-recording label — DreamMerchant21. His first signing to the imprint is American Idol Season 2 third place finalist Kimberly Locke.
