Ramsey Family Cleared JonBenet Ramsey Murder DNA Evidence

The Ramsey family has been cleared in the Christmas 1996 slaying of JonBenet Ramsey.

Thanks to new DNA evidence, authorities in Boulder, Colorado exonerated JonBenet’s family of any association with her death on Wednesday. The recently discovered forensic evidence in the murder case does not match any Ramsey family members or anyone in law enforcement DNA databases. The district attorney says the tests point to an “unexplained third party.”

The six year old beauty queen’s battered body was found in the basement of the family’s home in Boulder.

JonBenet’s parents, John and the late Patsy Ramsey, as well as her older brother had long been suspected of having had some involvement in her murder. Patsy Ramsey lost her battle against breast cancer in 2006.
