Angus T. Jones could never have imagined that a religious testimonial bashing his own show would become the web’s next viral sensation!
We can count on The Office’s Rainn Wilson to start the trend.
“Dwight from The Office is nothing, okay?” says Rainn, sitting alongside co-star Craig Robinson. “The Office is nothing, alright? If you watch The Office, please don’t watch The Office. I’m on The Office. It’s filth. And that filth will rot your brain.”
“Take it from me who’s on The Office, please don’t watch it…Thursday nights at 9 O’Clock on NBC, do not watch this final season or that filth will rot your brain.”
Making the spoof video even more poignant is the fact that The Office is part of NBC’s Thursday night comedy block, going head-to-head with CBS’ Two and a Half Men — the sitcom Jones has starred in for the past decade.
Jones, 19, made headlines this week when he appeared in an online video describing Two and a Half Men as “filth” and advising viewers to stop watching the top-rated comedy. Jones, a born-again Christian, cited his newfound religious beliefs for the outburst and has since apologized to the show’s cast and crew.
According to reports, the teen is expected to fulfill his contractual obligation to appear in the remainder of Men’s current 10th season.
