Rachael Ray Throat Surgery

It will be a quiet holiday season for Emmy-winning culinary expert Rachael Ray. The daytime host is scheduled to have surgery to remove a “benign cyst” on her vocal cords on December 16. The condition has left the notoriously gabby Ray with persistent laryngitis-like symptoms.
“I’m having voice surgery on the 16th and I have to be quiet for two weeks. Can you imagine? It will truly be a silent night!”
“I’m going to get lots of notebooks,” she says. “I’m going to get the callous I had in grade school back from writing!”
