Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s production company is joining forces with Queen Latifah to create a new daytime talk show hosted by the Queen herself.
Queen Latifah and the supercouple have a long history together — Latifah’s first acting role was opposite Will on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” and she also starred alongside Jada in the 1996 movie “Set It Off.”
The Smiths’ Overbrook Entertainment and Latifah’s Flavor Unit are collaborating on the show, which will premiere in 2013. It’ll be the Cover Girl model’s second show — her first, “The Queen Latifah Show,” ran from 1999 to 2001.
In a statement, Overbrook’s Miguel Melendez said in part:
“We are excited to join forces … on this new venture. This forum is the perfect place to showcase Latifah’s tremendous range of talents & unique ability to connect & inspire people.”
