“Project Runway” Returns Summer 2009

Good News, Fashion Fans: Project Runway is returning to television this summer — and it will air on Lifetime.
The future of the show was left in limbo after The Weinstein Co., which produces the series, signed a five-year deal with Bravo’s rival, Lifetime, in 2008.
The legal battle over which cable network will air the fashion reality show has been resolved, and the show will make its move to Lifetime, after all.
“NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes. The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome,” NBC Universal said Wednesday in a statement released this afternoon.
“I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner,” Harvey Weinstein said in a statement Wednesday. “We look forward to working together on our ongoing projects.”
