American Idol will crown it’s seventh victor on Wednesday night and producer of the hit FOX reality series have already taped a winner in Idol 7′s Battle of the Davids.

“The producers are really hoping that David Cook wins. David Archuleta cannot be managed the way that 19 Entertainment wants to manage their winners.”

According to a scoop from MSNBC, 2008 American Idol finalist David Archuleta comes with parental baggage that could prove to be too great a burden for the show:

“David Archuleta comes to the table with his own plans and agenda. His father is another shade of Joe Simpson, and it can only spell disaster.”

“The show has enough on its hands trying to get ratings back to where they used to be. The last thing they want is a rogue winner.”

Based on “The Davids Performance” on Tuesday night, despite David Cook’s surge in recent weeks, David Archuleta out performed his rival.

“You came out here tonight to win, and what we have witnessed is a knockout,” Simon Cowell said.
