Bad news for all the G.G fans out there. Gossip Girl producers are shooting down Wednesday morning reports that the critically-acclaimed CW drama will become the predecesor to a new spinoff this Fall.

“Not sure how this got out there, but no plans for spinoff at this moment,” Gossip Girl executive producer told E!’s Kristin Dos Santos this afternoon. “The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure season two gets off to a great start.”
