Ashlee Simpson spent the first few weeks of her rumored pregnancy knocking back alcoholic beverages on a regular basis, In Touch Weekly reports. The celebrity weekly cites three occasions within the past month in which a reportedly pregnant Ashlee consumed heavy amounts of alcohol.

According to In Touch insiders, the singer appeared intoxicated on February 26th after performing at New York City’s Marquee Nightclub: “She was pretty drunk. During that trip, she got a tattoo done in a local hotel room, too. She definitely had a few drinks to get through the pain.”

Ashlee was also spotted “drinking a good amount of Johnnie Walker Black Label Scoth” immediately following her March 1st performance at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

But a friend of Ashlee and fiance Pete Wentz’ denies that the couple would indulge in such risky behavior had they been aware of the twenty-three year old’s pregnancy:

“She would never do anything stupid. They like to party, but they are both responsible and are too much about each other to make a mistake like that.”
