Posh and Becks have reportedly approached pop star Madonna about buying her Beverly Hills compound.

The British soccer star and the former Spice Girl have recently been on a whirlwind house-hunting spree in Los Angeles.

Beckham, who has signed a five-year deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team that’s potentially worth $250 million, is hoping to spend under $20 million for their new home.

Barry Peele, of Sotheby’s International Realty, is the Beckhams real estate agent, he refused to comment on reports the couple has spoken to Madonna about buying her property, because he has signed “a lengthy confidentiality agreement”.

The famous Brits have reportedly looked at more than 20 homes in the $22.98 million to $38.3 million range.

Part of the problem is that the family does not want a house that would require any remodelling to fit their preferences-one of which is a mansion that is not visibly from the street.

Real estate firm Westside Estate Agency Kurt Rappaport tells the Los Angeles Times, “They’ll be away three weeks. There will be more homes for them to see when they get back.”

The median sale price of a home in Beverly Hills in December was $1.79 million, and a little lower at $1.53 million in the coastal enclave of Malibu, according to real estate tracker Dataquick.
