the last time a cardboard cut-out made news was when the grateful dead were enshrined in the rock n roll hall of fame. apparently lead-man jerry garcia wasn’t too thrilled about the idea and neglected to show for the ceremony.
so the rest of the band arrived with a large, full-color, cardboard cut-out of mr. garcia and acted as if everything was normal.
reports that the cardboard cut-out was then broken into thousands of colorful little hits and distributed to local high school kids looking for ‘trips’ remain unconfirmed.
