The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying two suspects believed to be involved in the attempted burglary at Lindsay Lohan’s dishelved Hollywood home on Tuesday.

“On May 12, 2009, a pair of burglars attempted to break into a home in the Hollywood Hills during broad daylight and their images were caught on surveillance video. The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating those suspects as well as the vehicle,” a spokesperson for the LAPD said in a statement released to Access Hollywood on Thursday.

Surveillance photos captured two passengers in a four-door gray Dodge Magnum station wagon “with paper plates and custom wheels parked in front of the home.”

The suspects exited the car and “walked through a gate and entered the backyard of the residence,” according to the police statement.

“Investigators believed that the suspect tried to gain entry by using an unknown type tool to pry open a back window and door. After the unsuccessful attempt, the suspects drove off.” One suspect covered his face with a bandana. He was also wearing a “two-tone baseball cap with an emblem,” the statement continued.

In other news, Lindsay’s father has vowed to help police catch the man who attempted to loot Lindsay’s Hollywood home.

The always chatty Michael Lohan told WENN on Thursday, “I was on the phone with the police department in Hollywood today. This is disgusting because someone knew that Lindsay’s in France with my daughter Ali right now – someone knew Lindsay was leaving the country and obviously it was someone close to her.”

“I’m gonna find out who this person is and he’s gonna have major problems.”
