Police Called After Fans Mob No Doubt “Ellen” Concert

Police had to break up hundreds of furious No Doubt fans after they were refused admittance to see the ska-punk group’s performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
Nearly 500 people waited for seven hours to watch the band play at Ellen’s Backlot Bash in Burbank on Tuesday only to be turned away due to overcrowding. Ellen producers claim that they overestimated the venues capacity and had to call the police when fans threatened to stampede the show.
Ellen wants to make amends. In a message posted on the show’s official website Wednesday, the Emmy-winning talk show hostess apologized to the group’s followers and asked them to fill out a form telling their story: “Backlot Bash yesterday. Some people didn’t get in. I never want to turn people away; if you were, we’re trying to reach you. Contact us below.”
