The Royal Sister-in-Law is sitting down for a chat on this side of the pond. The Today Show’s Matt Lauer has landed the world’s first television interview with Pippa Middleton, the Pilates-lovin’ younger sister of Britain’s Duchess Catherine.

Lauer joined Middleton, 30, in London for a two-part interview that will air on NBC’s flagship breakfast program on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1. A preview of the chat shows a casually-dressed Pippa gabbing in a garden with an equally dressed-down Matt. The segments were taped shortly before Pippa and youngest Middleton kid James left England and donned patriotic cycling shorts for the grueling Race Across America.

The challenge will see Pippa and her seven male teammates make the 3,000 mile journey from San Diego, California to Annapolis, Maryland in eight days. Pippa’s used to putting her endurance level to the test, having participated in various charity races in the past. This charity race is a challenge for even the most accomplished fitness enthusiasts, less than 200 cyclists have completed the race since his launch in 1982.
