Tom Cruise has been named in a $250 million lawsuit filed against the Church of Scientology.

The suit, filed in Florida’s Southern District Court on July 15th, accuses the controversial faith’s leaders, including Cruise, of harassment.

Blasting Scientology as a crime syndicate, former member Peter Letterese say he was viciously stalked by members of the church after he publicly denounced the faith.

In the court papers, Letterese claims the harrassment was “aided and abetted by the actions of Tom Cruise….He has assisted the syndicate in acquiring funds and (made) his own donations of money believed to be in the multiple tens of millions of dollars”.

Letterese wants the Church of Scientology investigated to under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Law (RICO ACT) commonly used to convict Mafia families and drug cartels.
