Peter Cook Christie Brinkley Divorce Trial Open To Public

A Long Island, New York judge ruled Friday that the divorce proceedings of former supermodel Christie Brinkley will remain open to the media, despite opposition from soon-to-be ex-husband Peter Cook.
“Open courtrooms, in general and in divorce actions, may provide a basis for societal education,” Judge Mark D. Cohen said in his ruling.
Christie, an icon on the 80s-era modeling scene, filed for divorce from Peter in 2006, after discovering the businessman had engaged in an affair with his then eighteen year old assistant.

Not sure this is a good idea. I would think a divorce should be private and not open to the public to gawk at.
