Pete Wentz has a word of advice on dealing with nude photo scandals for starlets Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Greene, who have had their squeaky-clean onscreen images tarnished by the leak of X-rated personal pics.

Bandslam star Vanessa has had to deal with two sets of leaked photos, and on Monday, naked images of Twilight’s Ashley Greene made their way to the Interwebs.

In 2006, the Fall Out Boy bassist faced his own public shame, after his cell phone was hacked and nude images of Pete exposing himself surfaced online.

“I handled it pretty terribly for the first 48 hours, I mean, I quit my band and everything,” said speaking to MTV News on Tuesday.

“But then what I realized is that it’s not the worst thing on the planet that’s ever gonna happen. [I] apologized to my mum, realised that the best way to not have pictures on the internet is to never take the pictures at all,” Pete added.

“The bigger deal you make of it, and the more you try to prove that it wasn’t you or it was like this or that, the only people who are really going to know the story are, like, you and two other people… Let it go away.”
