Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed the arrival of their first son on Thursday night.

Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long.

“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson tells PEOPLE.

The Bronx is per capita the poorest of New York City’s famous five boroughs. Mowgli was the name of the kid in The Jungle Book. What do you think of the name Pete and Ashlee have selected for their baby boy?

Did they really call him Mowgli? That’s so freakin’ weird… and unexpected. Guess Pete loves the Jungle Book! Lovely, can’t wait for the pictures! Oh, and congratulations, of course!

Oh the Jungle Book!!! I bet Ashlee is gonna be pissed once she realizes he is going away to play in Chicago next month. I wish I could see FOB live but I’m not traveling to Chicago for it. However I will be able to watch the show on Fuse. HOw sweet is that!!!

    I just found info stating:

Fall Out Boy: Live from The Chicago Theatre, will premiere on Fuse Tuesday, December 16th, at 9:00PM ET/PT.
