The latest whispers from the Rumor Mill claim troubled musician Pete Doherty has fallen in love with jazz-pop songstress Amy Winehouse. The habitually heroin-addicted Doherty is so determined to share his life, and his crackpipe, with Wacked Out Winehouse that the Babyshambles star has penned a letter to Amy’s incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, requesting that he set the Grammy Award-winning singer free to marry him instead.

“Pete has written to Blake and told him bluntly to do the decent thing. If he loves Amy, let her go,” a spywitness gushed in the latest edition of the Daily Mail.

Pete says he fell in love with Amy the first moment he saw her and told Blake he had proposed to her four years ago when they met on the set of a British TV show.

“Pete explained in his letter to Blake that he genuinely believes if he and Amy had got together then, they would’ve weathered the storms of fame together and not have succumbed to addiction or depression….He thinks they’re two halves of the same coin, stronger together than apart. And he blames Blake for hurting Amy and getting her in this mess.”
