Oprah Winfrey is hanging up her crown and spector as the Queen of Talk in 2011 — could America’s favorite ex-Idol judge be on course to replace her?

“I have really great ideas,” Paula told Extra. The 47-year-old, who exited her post on American Idol, says she hopes to launch her own talk show sometime in the next two to three years. “It would be fun and quirky and it would be insightful,” she explained. “It would be fun to jam with the band and have amazing guests and introduce amazing different formats on the show.”

The singer is confident she has what it takes to connect with guests — “straight up.”

“I feel I would be really good at it. I have the ability to connect with people on a level,” Paula added. “I’ve proven to pierce the heartstrings, but also to be celebratory and bring out the best in people.”
