Paula and her red cup of “Jesus Juice” are getting their own show. With the new season of American Idol kicking into high-gear on Tuesday at eight, Bravo took the opportunity to jump on the bandwagon with a TV series about the entertainer’s life.

The show, entitled “Hey Paula,” will debut sometime late this year and will follow the star as she works on A.I, a new “Bratz” motion picture, and the creation of her own cosmetics and perfume line.

“What we want it to be is the current Paula,” say Bravo’s president Lauren Zalaznick said. “We’re not a biographical or historical channel.” Paula’s big announcement came just hours after the network pulled the plug on “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” Yesterday, Bravo announced that “Being Bobby Brown” would be no more.

But don’t expect to talk about the blessed event-the judge has cancelled television interviews after today’s video of the loopy star on Seattle morning television surfaced all over the web.

Paula’s mouthpiece (PR rep), Jeff Ballard, has jumped to the veteran dancer’s defense, claiming she wasn’t under the influence:

“She was exhausted. This was at the end of three days of press (interviews and appearances), and she has had cameras following her around for a reality TV show too….She was sitting in a room with just a camera and a mic on, and the controllers dropped the sound twice, which is why she rolled her eyes.”

“She never drinks. I have known Paula Abdul since she was 13, and I have never seen her drink ever in my life. … And no, she is not on any kind of medication,” he said. “She was a little tired.” HA!

He goes on to say that Paula has a “sore throat” resulting in her canceling today’s appearances (Insert YAWN here).
