Paula Abdul Not In Talks To Return To “American Idol,” Manager Says
Paula Abdul is not in discusions to return to American Idol, her manager, David Sonenberg, told The Los Angeles Times overnight.
“She feels fabulous. She feels free,” Sonenberg told the newspaper. “I think in some ways she was typecast in ‘Idol’ and she was kind of restricted from doing anything she wanted to do and now she’s free to decide. She really is very excited about the future and that there’s support for her.”
There are “no discussions whatsoever about ‘Idol,’” according to the manager. Sonenberg confirmed that the 47-year-old former judge has spoken with people at many networks and has a variety of opportunities in front of her.
“She loves television. She has a number of exciting ideas, some of which are competitive, some of which are just theme-oriented,” Sonenberg added. “I think you’re going to be seeing a lot of Paula, sometimes as an executive producer, sometimes as a performer or mentor and sometimes as a creative developer.”

Yep, no discussions whatsoever. Unless you wanted to count her wandering around for hours in a haze mumbling to herself curses about Ryan Seacrest….
