Paula Abdul’s recent meltdown at LAX Airport has sparked rumors that the American Idol judge is bipolar, as she is described as going “increasingly bonkers” by a longtime member of her personal staff. ”I also wonder if Paula’s bipolar. One moment she can be a sweet as pie. The next she’s a wild woman.”

”A day without a Paula meltdown is what’s unusual,” a longtime show staff member spills to the tabs. ”She has become increasingly bonkers the past year or so. It takes three times the number of staff members to deal with her than help Randy [Jackson] and Simon [Cowell]. People are seriously worried about her. She has a horrible time dealing with any kind of pressure. Even the littlest thing can set her off on a crying jag that can last for an hour.”
