Paula Abdul “American Idol” Replacement: Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Cyndi Lauper “American Idol” Judge Job

The seventh season of American Idol is kicking off with the threat of a pink slip for judge Paula Abdul. Idol head honchos are at their wit’s end with the pint-sized former pop star after her odd tirade at L.A.X Airport last month. “They’ve put up wit her bizarre behavior for years, but it’s got to the ‘enough is enough’ point. I think they’re really afraid she could have a serious breakdown and not be able to continue on the program.” A.I producers are lining up a replacement just in case P.A has anymore mid-season meltdowns. Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper have the likeliest shot of taking over judging duties if Paula gets the boot.
“No one knows what to expect next from Paula and that’s scary for American Idol bigwigs. The show’s execs can’t leave things to chance. They need to be ready with a replacement.”
“Producers are talking quietly about replacing Paula. Their list of replacements include Janet Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, and Mariah Carey. They’d each bring their own special pesonality to the table and would blend in well with Randy and Simon. They’re all highly respected and they’ve all had more success than Paula in terms of career.”
“Paula better clean up her act this season, or she’ll be finding herself out of a job.”
