Patrick Swayze’s Widow Finds Love Again
Patrick Swayze’s widow is back on the market, three years after the Dirty Dancing actor lost his battle against pancreatic cancer.
Actress and dancer Lisa Niemi, 56, met jeweler Albert DePrisco at her recent birthday celebration. The couple were introduced by a mutual friend.
“It’s new, and they’re taking it slow,” Niemi’s publicist told People magazine Thursday.
Lisa was married to Patrick the star of Ghost, The Outsiders and To Wong Foo…, for 34 years before his death at age 57 in September 2009. Lisa penned a memoir with her late husband titled The Time of My Life. The tome was released just two weeks after Swayze’s passing
Her second book, Worth Fighting for: Love, Loss and Moving Forward, was released earlier this year, revealing the couple’s struggles over the course of their marriage. Patrick’s addiction to alcohol was a constant source of contention.
“No relationship is perfect. You hang in there and you don’t give up. And of course you are going to have bad times. I would be with Patrick a million times over if I could — warts and all.”
