Pat O’Brien is leaving The Insider.

No reason was given for his departure, but the rehab-prone entertainment show correspondent made headlines earlier this week when he allegedly fired off an e-mail to staff members at The Insider and Entertainment Tonight dissing host Lara Spencer and the show’s head fashion stylist, Anya Sarre.

“[W]atching Anya and Lara pick out accessories makes the viewers want to vomit,” Pat said of the syndicated show’s daily “Look for Less” segment in which Anya and Lara do the accessories shelf.

“Pat O’Brien is a talented broadcaster who has been a part of The Insider family from the very beginning,” a spokesperson for the show said in a statement Thursday. “Although we have decided to part ways, everyone at CBS Television Distribution and The Insider greatly appreciate and respect all his contributions to our show. We wish Pat much success in his future endeavors.”
